By: Robert Watson

Now I will start by breaking it down and explaining all of the letters of the acronym, in order for one to understand the import of the method:

A= Attention: If your press release is high-quality the very first thing you MUST do is get the viewers "ATTENTION". The best way to do that is by starting with a good headline.

So, what's a good headline? A powerful headline is any headline which can answer the inquiry of "what's in it for me?" That's all that the readers honestly are interested in. Let them know what's in it for them?

The purpose of creating a press release is not to attempt to explain your entire story in your headline. The purpose is to first get the attention of the viewer, skillfully reel them in, and let your press release do the selling.

A good headline is also specially pointed towards a particular category, such as the headline of this particular article.

In this article I am targeting individuals who want to learn the methods of promoting their businesses with a press release.

What is it which makes this article so effective?

The headline got your attention, reeled you in and made you read this article.

Can not get any more effective than this.

I= Interest: After you obtain the reader's attention, next you want to get them Interested in what you are promoting. The best way achieve this by immediately delivering what your title indicates. You shouldn't attempt to be cute, and do not carry your visitors along.

D= desire. You have to make a feeling of "DESIRE" for|force the viewer "DESIRE" your service and product. Thefirst purpose you should be attmepting to attain with this specific part of the A.I.D.A. technique is to create excitement and dollar value in the readers mind. The technique of doing that is with benefits, benefits and more benefits!

Unfortunately, many marketers are unsure about the difference between benefits and features|mislabel benefits for features. There is a tremendous change of delivery. A Feature is items which highlight particular pieces your service and product. Benefits reference how your service and product will help the reader to find a solution to her or his issues. Basically, what the visitor will earn by using the service and product.
A= action: You always should close your news or press release with what is commonly referred to as an action statement. Tell the reader in no uncertain terms, what it is that you would like them to do.
