Trust me when I say one of the greatest gifts you can give that special lady is a beautiful piece of sexy lingerie. Its important however to do a little homework, research and even a little bit of poking around to make sure you don't waste your time and money just to have your gift end up in the back of her undie drawer.

I can impart a couple of must follow guidelines to make sure you get to see what she looks like in your gift. If you follow these simple steps you will most certainly make her happy knowing that you took the time to figure out what she would enjoy and feel comfortable wearing. The benefits to following these steps should be obvious but if your not sure, just consider the rewards you will reap from showing her how sexy you think she is and then more importantly by making her feel sexy.

You don't need to go to the local lingerie store and suffer through the embarrassment and frustration of feeling like everyone is looking at you and wondering why your in the lingerie section. It isn't necessary to ask the sales clerk to help you knowing that she really doesn't have any interest in helping a man who probably is just window shopping.

With over 3,000,000 online lingerie stores you can let your fingers do the shopping. The variety of colors, sizes and styles is staggering to say the least. And if your really energetic you can find online shops that specialize in lingerie of different styles, colors and sizes. The great thing about shopping with these online retailers is that you can avoid all of the issues you would have by going out to your local lingerie store and shop from the comfort of your home. Its never been easier or more secure to shop online than it is today.

It is important that you do your homework first however. I can't emphasize the importance of getting this right. The first thing you must do is be sure your buying the right size. If you get this wrong your special lady friend is going to take this as a sign from you that she is either too fat or too skinny. So take the time to be sure and don't take a wild guess thinking you probably know her size.

You could just ask her for her measurements but thats a loaded question with most women. Its like asking a woman her age. Its taboo. Go through her lingerie drawer at home and check the tags. If what she is wearing now fits then you can't go wrong with the sizes she already has. Just do it on the sly if you can. The best way to tip her off to what your trying to do is have her catch you going through her stuff.

What are you looking for then? Check the sizes of the lingerie she wears. They will have labels that show sizes like S (small) M (medium) L (large) XL (extra large) LL (large large) 1X, 2X, 3X etc.. You may also find sizes like 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 etc.. These sizes typically relate to a woman's dress size. You may find sizes like 34A, 36C, 40D etc which of course relates normally to the size bra she wears.

The one thing I can tell you about lingerie companies is that no two use the same sizing standards. Its no different than going to the local store and buying a size 36 waist pair of jeans only to find out that brand X size 36 is bigger than brans Y's size 36 waist. This hold true for lingerie companies also. Check the tags of her lingerie, see who makes it then go to their respective web sites and check out their size charts. Even if the lingerie company is a wholesaler, they almost all have size charts on their sites. You will begin to get a sense of what sizes you need after you check out these different size charts. Most of these charts will show what size fits what height, measurements, weight and so on. It may seem like a lot of effort to do this but I assure you it will pay off in the end.

Almost all online retailers of lingerie have sizing charts on there stores. If the retailer has any intelligence about this, they too will have sizing charts that not only show sizes but will also show measurements and if they are really smart they will have multiple size charts specific to the manufacturers they sell for. Most of the online lingerie stores sell for several different makers therefore they should show the differences in the sizes for each.

When it comes to styles of lingerie, figure out what she likes and buy that type of lingerie. Your buying it for her, not you. If you remember that you can't go wrong. There are so many different styles of lingerie like teddie, corsets, babydolls, camis, gowns, robes etc... Try to pay attention to what she already has and see if you can find something of a similar style at least for this first gift idea. Some of these styles may be conservative but look very sexy, some may be less convservative by showing a bit more skin, and sexy too.

Consider the colors also. Most women are very comfortable in certain colors. They tend to wear colors that they feel compliments their skin complexion or their hair colors or even their body shape. As an example, many brunettes like wearing whites and reds, blondes seem to like blacks and blues, redheads tend to prefer greens and yellows. So remember while you're poking around to take note of the colors she likes to wear.

Ok, you've done your homework. Now your ready to buy her that special gift. Now all you have to do is sift through the online stores, look at hundreds of pictures of sexy women in lingerie and make your decision. I know thats the hard part but it will be worth it in the long run.

And don't forget the giftwrapping. Nothing says I love you more than giving her something special with a hint of surprise to it. She will love you for not only buying her something sexy but also for taking the time to make it really special by having it gift wrapped.
