How often have you seen people riding around on motorcycles while wearing only cutoff shorts or a thin T-shirt? I'm sure the answer is, often. Many people foolishly believe that's all they riding apparel they need while motorcycling around town. But nothing could be further from the truth

You see, wearing proper motorcycle apparel is really a safety issue not just a fashion statement. And all too often people find out the hard way as they lose a whole lot of skin as they slide down the road when they are spilled off their bike. Motorcycle riders don't have anything between them and the roadway like automobile drivers wearing seatbelts do. The motorcycle rider is extremely vulnerable when tossed off his bike during an accident.

Motorcycle leathers can act like a second skin between you and the roadway that you may someday meet without notice. Actually, it can act as a protection against the removal of your own skin by harsh pavement and gravel road ways as you slide along them after a spill. And the modern leather apparel can offer additional protection through additional light weight padding sewn into appropriate areas.

Leather motorcycle pants are extremely important as most injuries in a motorcycle accident occur below the waist. You want to protect yourself as much as possible in that vulnerable area.
